Awarding Gospel Artistes on their Excellent Performance

Eindhoven, a small city in The Netherlands/ Holland, is the birth place of Sherida Nancy Pinas-Obimdi. Big soulful vocals cutting through soulful/ jazzy arrangements and a touch of rock with lyrics based on life experiences, personal and external, she is known.

Classical piano lessons and watching both parents perform in her dad’s band “Squala”, were musical related activities which formed the core initiation into her musicality from a tender age. Soon after she was allowed a place in the band as a backing vocalist, with influences such as Jazz, Salsa, Gospel, Merengue, Reggae and Pop ,she developed song-writing, went on to singing with other groups, Church choirs, at weddings, local community events etc.



Her professional resume consists of performances at events & venues like Mundial Festival Tilburg, Ageless One Concert,Dynamo Eindhoven, PSV Stadium Eindhoven, Albany South east London, Lewisham Peoples Day, The Melek, Union Chapel, 50/50 Trinidad & Jamaica Independence Celebration and interviews with the likes of Press Magazine(Galilee), Xnoizz radio station Eindhoven, Eindhoven Dagblad Newspaper and travelled to Belgium, France and Germany to minister, to mention a few.

Sherida is now based in the UK and has acquired a Bmus(Hons) in Popular Music and a master degree in Music Therapy.With an honest and straight-ahead attitude, she has formed her musical identity and is now set to share it with the world.
